Controlling Wildlife Punishment Into Household Pets
Posted in Current Events on January 30th, 2012 by Bill Syer – Be the first to commentUnfortunately animal cruelty is something that happens in every state, and usually in every city. Whether consciously or unconsciously, people are abusing animals everywhere. But there’s plenty that you can do to make sure that their abuse is stopped and that they can be rescued, according to SPCAI.
When it comes to your dog or cat, you’ve got to make sure that you’re getting them the care that they need. That means visiting the vet for treatment, and for staying up to date on their shots.
While it may not seem like your vehicle can get too hot when you’re just going to have them out there for a few minutes while you run into the store, it only takes a few moments for the average car to hit 100 degrees in hot weather.
There are always things that you can do to prevent animal cruelty where you live. More often than not there has to be an animal control agency near you, and you’re able to call them so that they can be alerted to a problem where you live.
A big part of taking care of your dogs is having them spayed or neutered if you’re not going to breed them. It’s the responsible thing to do because there are already too many puppies in the US and not enough homes. That’s why SPCA International is overwhelmed with animals in need of rescue services.
For example, if you buy your dog at a pet store, you’re actually doing the wrong thing. No matter what they say, more often than not this is supporting puppy mills.
You have to take that extra step to be sure that nothing can happen. Even if you think that your pet is under control, and will never end up in a situation where they can create some puppies, you never know.
So even though that Jack Russell Terrier might look ridiculously cute in the window, you should look to a breeder if you want to find a particular breed. That’s where you’re safe in finding the right dog without supporting a Mill.
